Where does our food come from?
How is that food produced?
What does it take to run and maintain a farm, and produce healthy crops?
The FarmCraft world contains 3 main activities for students, which can either be played over 3 separate longer sessions or can be shortened and connected as part of one lesson.
Lesson 1: Introduction to farming and equipment
This lesson introduces students to the fundamental principles of farming, as well as the equipment used in industry today.
Lesson 2: Weather, Soil & Water
This lesson introduces students to the importance of weather, soil and water in growing and maintaining healthy crops.
Lesson 3: Running a farm!
Equipped with information on the farming process, and proficient in the use of key equipment, students now have the opportunity to maintain their own crops. Using the vehicles from ‘The Factory’, players are able to till, fertilise, plant and harvest all of the fields surrounding ‘The Ranch’ – and trade their harvested crops for new crop types.

Students can demonstrate knowledge of the farming process - from soil preparation and fertilisation, to planting and harvesting.
Students understand the different types of farming equipment, and what role they play in modern farming.
Students understand the importance of weather, soil and water in the growth of healthy and sustainable crops.
